GOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Not the futbol golaso, but the goals that you set for your self and hope that you somehow follow through. The arrival of spring has prompted me to start setting seasonal goals:

List of Goals:
Take a cooking class - there's a few once a month that have caught my eye
Bike ride through the forest preserves - all I need is a bike :P
Run some races- I've been keeping up with my workouts thankfully...Ravenswood Run anyone?
WARRIOR DASH - I want that viking hat!!!
Handy Work - I have some handy work around the house that I've been putting off
Art - Some hands on artistic activity

I don't want to cram too many in there because that will just put me against the odds of actually following through.

Holy Crappola

It's been 2 years....sorta since I last posted. How'd that happen? Perhaps it's because I always feel like I have nothing interesting to say.....I'm an introverted blogger, don't judge.

So, much has happened when I think about it....now the trick is to type it all out neatly. Well, I guess I'll have to just flow with it and focus on the big things:

- I'm engaged WEEE!!
- I changed my career major from CIS to Nursing
- I'm moving next summer....to another city! :O
- My kiddie will graduate from eighth grade after this school year!

There's more to come, and some explaining to do along the way, but that's all I can think of for now. That last one though is kinda scary. I'm excited for my kid, but I'm not sure if I'm ready for her to be in high school, shit I remember what I was like in high school. Holy Crap!

Again the Grey

And she will devour you and consume your thoughts
Though you run away, she will carry you astray
Every feeling in you once felt, she will recover
She will fill you, envelop you in the shadows you've forgotten
She will rise and spread her legs amidst your ambience
You, soon befallen in her stolid abysmal glory
Encumbered with the stench of regret and diluted passion
Caressed by the damp cold heart of this dead woman
Take her, rise and swallow her whole
Soothe her impending madness with the acid you digest
Arise, implode her with silenced fury succumbed inside
Awake with caution, step back, now resume
No longer this woman can feast on your will
Your heart colorful though coated in grey
Your gaze is now brighter though dark it can be
And your mind is purest encased in hair greyer than she.

The Sniffles

Oh such a dreary Monday it is when you've got the sniffles. I hate feeling sick, right now I'm literally sick & tired. I want to go to sleep in my nice cozy bed.
Lights out.
Dark room.
Me and Twilight alone in a dance.
Too tired to lead, I'll float in my dreams.
The still night keeps guard, halt, stand at attention.
We're not alone, they heard a soft beating.
The walls around my cozy bed don't sleep.

B-B-But...I need to register...

Who would have thought that it would be soo difficult to register for classes, geethuth. I have midterms this weekend, and I'm stressing over my fall schedule. I have a schedule kinda planned out too, but the trick is how can I enroll early if I haven't yet finished my pre-req classes? This is something I have to discuss with the Dean, because I really don't know. That's the bad thing about taking accelerated classes, you have no room to stop and breathe. Oh and now, as I'm typing in my dear blog, someone on the overhead makes a fart noise....kinda makes me not want to stop and breathe. Work has been a drag today, my co-worker has been a total slacker. She was on the phone all day praying with someone I guess. It was annoying, I almost thought she was going to break into song, which she has done in the past.

*sigh*

So, I've just come back from an open house, and I learned that my kiddie's school has a website...and get this...IT'S UP TO DATE!!! All the parents cheered, it was truly a touching moment. I wish I could have more time and be all involved in the PTA and crap like that. I really don't know how some of the parents do it. They spend the whole day at the school, volunteering, organizing fund-raisers, it's nuts. I'm jealous, I always thought I'd be that kind of mom. But no, I'm more the "come and go" parent.

Well, I gotta do my homework now....

It's That Blogger Time of the Month Again!

So, I figure this is a monthly thing for me...is that so wrong? Honestly, I'd like to write more, and I would if I were more interesting.

School is going well for me. I was able to test out of a computer course, so I'm happy to say that my Fridays will not be spent being bored to death at some retard class. My other classes are good, I have a Humanities class in which the professor has instructed us to see a theatre performance. So, I figure that's a perfect excuse to go see Wicked. I mean, it's not for my own personal pleasure, no, it's part of a homework assignment. My psyche class is better. I really like my prof. He's funny and he reminds me of the character Willem Dafoe played in The Boondock Saints. But, it seems that a lot of my classmates don't quite comprehend his lectures. They ask the stupidest questions. Sometimes, I feel like stopping the class, climbing on top of my desk and explaining loudly to the class what he means. It would certainly save a lot of class time.

Driving home from school this past weekend was a bitch. I don't understand why they held the Mexican Independance Day Parade on September 11th. Why couldn't they hold it on Saturday? It just didnt' seem right to me. Ugh, and I couldn't stand people walking around with the Mexican Flag so carelessly. Dragging it on the ground, wearing it, stupid chach chicks having skimpy tank tops made out of it. Madness, where is the respect? Where is the honor? I don't call any of those actions a display of Mexican Pride. It's a mockery.

This week is my last car payment. I'm so happpy, my car will be mine all mine. I've gotten it fixed, it wasn't too much. Still though, it hurts the 'ol wallet. Imagine all the cute outfits or video games I could have bought myself with that moolah?
